The Concert Hall incorporating the original 1820’s balconied box pews forms a unique theatre which has more recently been adapted for use as a cinema. Perhaps not as comfortable as your multiplex, Swell Cinema is far more atmospheric (and you are welcome to bring along an extra cushion!).

High quality digital projection and audio equipment was installed in 2005 leading to the launch of the Swell Cinema Nights which continue 2 nights a week during local school holidays with frequent additional dates outside the holidays.

In addition at Swell we have introduced Supper Events on some of our Cinema Nights providing a meal to our Cinema customers. The Suppers are proving very popular so tickets for the food must be bought in advance – see our listings for further details.
