As you and your guests arrive in Robin Hood’s Bay they will be greeted by the spectacular views and as you make your way through the Bay and its narrow streets you will be stepping back in time…

Your Wedding Day

Our Wedding packages are designed to be clear so you know exactly where you are when planning your perfect day. We will do everything to accommodate your specific requirements whether you would like to have an intimate ceremony in the Concert Hall, a champagne reception in the gardens, a formal wedding breakfast for 40 guests or a standing buffet for 60.

Your Wedding Ceremony

Swell has been approved as a venue for the holding of Civil Marriages in pursuance of Section 26(1)(bb) of the Marriage Act 1994 and for the registration of Civil Partnerships under Section 6(3A)(a) of the Civil Partnership Act 2004.

In conjunction with the registrars who will conduct your wedding ceremony we will try out upmost to accommodate your requirements to make your day special. Your ceremony will be held in the magnificent auditorium which utilizes the 1840’s box pews. From the moment of your entrance your guests will have an uninterrupted view of your ceremony in this light and airy room… the sound system can be used for music, the cinema projection equipment for video or photography screening or how about a string ensemble to enhance the atmosphere?

Your Drinks Reception

Whatever the time of year, guests can enjoy champagne on the terrace or in the garden admiring the beautiful scenery and sea views. If the sun fails to shine, the auditorium can be a wonderful place for listening to your choice of music or perhaps viewing your best family photographs or video on the cinema screen. Whichever option you choose your photographer will find plenty of opportunities to capture the moment.

Your Wedding Breakfast

The ground floor at Swell will accommodate a variety of options although we are restricted to:

• Seated wedding breakfast for up to 40
• Standing wedding breakfast for up to 60
